The whole gay community is just stupid.
Your sexuality simply determines what attracts you sexually and should have little-to-nothing to do with the greater “you” as a person. The only reason it’s become such a part of who people are is because it’s seen as so different, when in reality, gay people aren’t any different than anyone else.
There really should be no difference between a “gay” person and a “straight” person. Whether you’re masculine or feminine should have no association with either. Being either or doesn’t mean you should be, have to be, or are more likely to be either or.
A whole community/culture shouldn’t be based of off what should be such a tiny part of who a person is. There is no “gay lifestyle,” there’s just a fucking “lifestyle.” That’s why I have to cling to music-based subcultures so much — I’m running from being a “gay person,” because I’m just a fucking “person.” We’re all just fucking people. We don’t actually have to be anything, it’s just that we have so much trouble figuring out who we are that we end up attaching ourselves to the first thing that plops up and we convince ourselves that that’s who we are.
The fact that I like men only affects my life a lot because I’m sexual frustrated like a 13-year-old and want to fuck/be with every other man I see. But the same thing could happen to a similar straight woman. It’s just that it’s more “normal” for her to like men, therefore my attraction stands out more.
